At any level, but especially when starting out in Jiu Jitsu or any martial art - the level of information and techniques that you must face might feel overwhelming. It can sometimes feel like a vast level of little jigsaw pieces as part of a big puzzle.

While it can be daunting, the beauty of this puzzle is that there exists an endless list of hints, tips and techniques to make your own Jiu Jitsu journey that little bit easier.

Our Tatami Originals video series has already shown the stories of BJJ personalities across the world and now in a new series, we’re also aiming to bring those little tips and techniques to life.

Whether it’s technical tips on the mat or little tricks to make training easier - we want to help.

In the first of our series we take a look at a basic necessity of rolling - finger tape.

Finger tape can often be overlooked but when wrapped and worn correctly, tape can help improve your grip and perhaps more importantly, protect your fingers against long term wear and injury.

With the help of BJJ black belt Greg Creel - we take a look at the different ways you can utilise finger tape to maximise the benefits. Take a look here.

Sold on finger tape? We have recently brought out a brand new design - check it out here:https://www.tatamifightwear.com/products/9mm-finger-tape-4-x-rolls
